Settling in:

Well, it has been a long time since I’ve posted something here, but I figured today would be the perfect time to share an update. A lot has happened since my last blog post. Summer was so much fun—a great season of being around the people I care about. Spending time with family and friends is such a blessing.

Since January, I’ve been preparing for a three-month mission trip to Kenya! For the next three months, I will be serving alongside a team of missionaries here. Whatever they’re doing, I will be helping them. I am so excited about this opportunity because it gives me the chance to learn from some incredible people. It is my hope that the Lord does more work on me than through me, although I’m praying for both.

I left yesterday (Thursday morning) from Nashville and flew to New York. From there, I flew to Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. It was a long trip, with the flight to Kenya alone taking 14 hours. But the Lord provided in every single detail! I made every connection, despite boarding my flight to Eldoret right at departure time. I even had an entire three-seat row to myself for the long flight. In every situation, big or small, the Lord provided. One other thing He has provided me with is an incredible family and friends—people who constantly point me to Him! I am so thankful that God uses these people in my life.

I’m writing this from Kenya, and I’m officially settled in. This blog will also serve as a newsletter, so I’ll be providing updates on my journey here. God is faithful!
